Assam: CM opens Rs 8 crore Atal Udyan with ampitheatre, gym at Adabari

 

Chief minister HimantaBiswaSarma  inaugurated Atal Udyan, a park with an amphitheatre, at Adabari in the city, in memory of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The park, set up by Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) at a cost of over Rs 8 crore and covering an area of 8 bighas of land, has a meditation hall, open air gym, a playground for children, murals with a dais besides an amphitheatre with capacity to hold 250 people.

 

The state government has been constantly striving towards developing open spaces to turn Guwahati into a modern city with lots of greenery and recreational avenues and with these parks, Guwahati will have five big parks.

Crime rates drop by 26% in Dimapur

Dimapur district witnessed a drop of 26.4% in registered crime cases in 2021 than the year 2020, Dimapur commissioner of police RothihuTeteseo said. Briefing media persons on the overall law and order situation in the district in the last 12 months in his office chamber on Wednesday, Teteseo said a total of 738 cases were registered from January 1 till December 21 this year while 642 people were arrested.

Dubbing it as a major achievement of Dimapur police, he said 158 cases under the Extortion and Arms Act were registered during in the current year and 197 people were arrested in this connection. He said a total of 77 arms, 1,087 rounds of ammunition, seven grenades, 16 detonators, two metres of codex wire, nine programme timing devices, one doorbell IED, nine all-time switches, a number of extortion slips and more than Rs 18 lakh were seized since January 1 till December 21.

Ziyuan-1 02E Launched by China

 

China launched a new Earth observation satellite named “Ziyuan-1 02E” into space.

 

The satellite was launched with the goal of discovering new natural resources.A smaller satellite was also launched, which will be used to teach geography at a Beijing school.

The Long March 4C rocket launched both satellites from the Taiyuan Launch Center in Sjanxi Province.

The Earth observation satellite Ziyuan-1 02E is part of a series of Ziyuan-1 satellites. Its most recent version, Ziyuan III 03., was released in July 2021.

 

Global Environment and Climate Action Citizen Award Presented In Dubai

 

the Global Environment and Climate Action Citizen Award were presented in Dubai.

Highlights:

Surat’s noted industrialist Viral Desai received the prestigious Global Environment and Climate Action Citizen Award.

Because of his passion for the environment, Viral Desai is known as Greenman.

At Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm, the SanskrutiYuvaSansthan presented Viral Desai and other winners with the ‘Bharat Gaurav Samman.’

The prestigious awards were presented to 28 prominent figures from 11 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, New Zealand, and Malaysia.

 

CEBRs Indian Economy Prediction

 

According to the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), India will reclaim sixth place from France in 2022 and move up to third place in 2031.

Highlights:

India was predicted to become the third-largest economy in the world by 2030.

China will overtake the United States in 2030, according to the CEBR’s annual World Economic League Table.

According to the report, India’s ranking in the World Economic League Table will improve over the next 15 years (WELT).

Flex-Fuel Vehicles and Flex-Fuel Strong Hybrid Guidelines

 

Guidelines for Flex-Fuel Vehicles and Flex-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles were released by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Highlights:

Automatic manufacturers in India have been instructed to begin producing Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFV) and Flex Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles in accordance with guidelines (FFV-SHEVs).

This will help India replace its petroleum imports as a fuel source while also providing direct benefits to farmers.

FFV-SHEVs are equipped with powerful Hybrid Electric technology.

Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules

 

The Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021, have been published by the Central Government.

Highlights:

Direct selling entities and direct sellers are prohibited from Promoting a Pyramid Scheme or enlisting anyone in these schemes under the notified rules.

Participating in a money-transfer scheme

State governments have been given the responsibility of monitoring compliance with these rules.

Direct Selling Entities are required to have at least one physical location as a registered office within India, according to the rules.

They should make a self-declaration that the Direct Selling Entity has followed the rules and is not involved in a pyramid scheme or money circulation scheme.

All products sold by a direct selling company must adhere to the declarations made under the Legal Metrology Act of 2009.
